We closed on the construction loan two weeks ago (April 30 to be exact), and we came home today to discover that our contractor had stopped by. We have what appears to be part of the new floor sitting downstairs, just waiting to be installed.
Michael tore his Achilles tendon a week and a half ago and is a little frustrated being on crutches. And being on crutches in our three-story house with no flooring on the first floor doesn't really help the situation. But seeing that tiny glimmer of progress when we walked in the door seemed to cheer him up a little. I know I was happy to see it.
